This Earth Day, on Saturday April 22nd from 9:30am-6pm, IKEA will be holding their Sustainable Living your Way event to promote eco-friendly practices in your home! Check out the great events that they have lined up for the day:

Furniture Take Back

If you have an unwanted piece of furniture in your house, bring it to IKEA from 10am to 6pm to be donated or recycled and receive a coupon for $20 off a purchase of $150 or more! This is a great way to ensure our unwanted items stay out of the landfills. IKEA will not be accepting mattresses, bedding, children’s furniture or toys, or lighting.

Giveaways and Special Offers

Be one of the first 500 IKEA FAMILY members through the door to receive a 2 pack of RYET LED light bulbs (one per household)! These long lasting light bulbs are durable and incredibly energy-efficient. Doors open at 9:30am for breakfast in the restaurant.

Scan your IKEA FAMILY card for a chance to win a SLADDA bicycle or one of four $100 IKEA gift cards. You can also use your IKEA FAMILY card to enjoy savings on sustainable items such as LED light bulbs, bamboo accessories, and plants. Plants in your house can yield multiple benefits, including reducing stress, increasing productivity, and improving air quality.

Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner specials in the IKEA restaurant and receive a coupon for $5 off a $25 purchase in their Swedish Food Market.

Fun and Educational Workshops for the Whole Family

IKEA has a busy day planned for its event attendees! Some activities to look forward to are an in-store scavenger hunt and an LED light bulb challenge. Families can also create a recycled plant pot masterpiece, learn about the benefits of biking, and learn how to make safe, sustainable cleaning products for your house! Check out the IKEA Pittsburgh Events, Sustainability & Community page on their website on April 1st for a full schedule of events.
