We are thrilled to be partnering with the Fairmont Pittsburgh this Pittsburgh Earth Day for the Ecolution Fashion Show on April 21st.  We got to know more about the hotel and its sustainable efforts in celebration of Earth Day and beyond!

Instead of plastic water bottles, guest rooms at Fairmont Pittsburgh are stocked with reusable glass water bottles which guests can refill complimentary throughout their stay at filtered water dispensers on each floor. This initiative saves thousands of bottles from landfill deposit annually!

Fairmont Pittsburgh partners with AgRecycle, a Pittsburgh-based composting company, to compost food waste from its restaurant and banquet kitchens.

Glass BottlesFairmont Pittsburgh is home to hundreds of nineteenth century artifacts that were discovered on the site of the hotel during construction. The artifacts, which are now displayed in museum-quality cases throughout the hotel, include toys, glass bottles and artwork. Guests can take a self-guided artifacts tour and learn more about the department store, boarding houses and banks that once stood on the site.

Fairmont Pittsburgh features a diverse collection of contemporary local artwork including a 15-foot wooden sculpture by Jonathan Shapiro in the lobby, paintings, photographs and Andy Warhol ex-edition prints.
