Director of Wood Reuse
This newly created role offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build an urban woody biomass campus in conjunction with our workforce development program. Because of our dual people and planet mission, the person in this position will have the unique opportunity to use their wood reuse skills and knowledge both for environmental benefit and to support people using this training opportunity to create a better future for themselves and their families. Ideal candidates will be deeply familiar with the safe operations of lumber production, curious about how to successfully recreate production systems within an urban environment, and have a deep sensitivity to the structural inequalities and traumatic experiences that have often impacted our crew members’ lives. Work Readiness Manager
Landforce is seeking an energetic, collaborative, people-person that brings deep knowledge of community resources and counseling/casework practices with high-risk populations, including mental health treatment and the impact of trauma. Administrative Coordinator 
Landforce is currently hiring a part-time administrator (20 hours/week) who is detail-oriented, organized, and able to help others meet deadlines in a timely manner to support our Director of Operations with regular administrative and office-related tasks. You should be comfortable with technology in general (email, Google Drive, word processing, etc), but we are happy to teach you the specific tools you will be using from within your position. It is crucial that you bring a patient approach, and that you have experience working with the diverse group of people who come through our doors.  More info here.

Site Supervisors
Landforce is seeking empathetic leaders who are energetic, engaging, and knowledgeable in the best practices environmental stewardship. The person in this position must be able to not only model professional-level skills, but also be able to form a trusted supervisory relationship with our crew members who come from a broad diversity of experiences. Experience working with people who have been impacted by systemic racism and other forms of injustice is crucial to this position. We would anticipate that Site Supervisors bring a range of the following technical skills:  Green Infrastructure, Tree Planting and Tree Care, Trail Building and Maintenance, Invasive Plant Management, Arboriculture, Horticulture, Basic Carpentry, and Sustainable Landscaping. Landscape Architects and Building Performance (multiple positions)

evolveEA is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to join their multidisciplinary Design and Planning Studio to spearhead landscape design and planning projects, and to manage cross-functional teams on architecture, urban design, and community planning projects. Landscape design projects range in scale from small and medium size an include public, nonprofit, and private clients. Nature Specialist

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh’s South Hills Day camp is hiring for summer 2024. General responsibilities are to teach and coordinate camp’s nature program, ability for campers/staff to make connections between self, community, earth, and spirit with a socially and environmentally conscious program. Desired qualifications are an interest or experience in instructing planting, nature education activities or activities including biology, botany or related areas, and ability to set up demonstration area and program, and to teach skills to staff and campers ages 5-14. Environmental Specialist 

The Environmental Specialist will interact with clients, vendors, and staff to ensure project goals are met. This position also works as a member of a team to help identify and solve complex environmental and agricultural issues.This environmental specialist position can have an emphasis or expertise on any of the following disciplines: watershed management, wetland delineations and mitigation, NEPA permitting, agricultural planning and design, stream restoration, abandoned mine drainage or stormwater management.
