Research and Policy Associate, Networks & Community Engagement Coordinator
The Research and Policy Associate will support the research, community engagement, and advocacy efforts of various UrbanKind programs in areas of environmental justice, clean water access and equity, and housing and land use policy, among others. The position will report to the Director of Environmental and Climate Justice Initiatives, with occasional responsibilities assigned by the Deputy Director.
The Networks & Community Engagement Coordinator will be primarily responsible for building and coordinating the Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Center (TCTAC) Hub housed at UrbanKind Institute. The Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of associated activities, including program management, community engagement, building local partnerships, research, and advocacy to fulfill the mission of the hub. The Coordinator will also support the networking, community engagement, and advocacy efforts of other UrbanKind programs in areas of environmental justice, water equity, housing, and health. The ACAA’s Sustainability Manager will report to the Manager of Environmental Services and assumes responsibility for managing the implementation of ACAA’s sustainability programs. The Sustainability Manager will transform the organization to lead in the present and future of sustainability, tasked with driving progress in energy, water, waste, and resiliency. The incumbent will continue development of ACAA’s sustainability initiatives and programs, including working towards net-zero emissions, enhancing fuel efficiency, and increasing operational sustainability. The EFC exists to provide participating organizations with access to CFO-level skills which are typically out of reach of small nonprofits. The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Business Development and Project Teams to create print and digital communications designed to promote the firm. The Marketing Manager may also assist in creating project-related work such as project presentations, maps, or other graphic materials. The lifesaving work of Animal Friends depends upon the support of the community, and the role of Manager of Special Events & Corporate Partnerships will steward efforts to increase community and corporate fundraising support.
