December 22, 2020

The holiday season is here and most of us are already feasting on the delicious foods and endless drinks that come along with our annual end-of-year celebrations.

In a typical year, I would enjoy time at several holiday parties, swigging wine with my gal pals or meeting old friends at the bar for beers. But 2020 is different — in every possible way. Not only do I feel like I’ve been eating and drinking at the holiday level for months now, but activity levels are down, and social lives are all-but non-existent.

This holiday, I’m opting for mocktails.

Mocktails (virgin cocktails, non-alcoholic cocktails or whatever you call them) are great for allowing you to still feel festive while forgoing the alcohol. In my opinion, they’re seriously underrated. They are much lower in calories, super fun, full of flavor and give zero chance of a hangover. Plus, no one has to be responsible for keeping the little kids out of the punch bowl — it’s delicious for all ages!

This Sparkling Cranberry Ginger Rosemary Mocktail is the perfect way to whip up some holiday spirit — sans actual spirits — this week. It’s tart, sweet, gingery, and looks pretty too!

This recipe requires just a few simple ingredients and delivers tons of festive flavor. You can make a bigger batch in a punch bowl if you’re sharing with your usual socially-distanced crew, or divvy up the ingredients in individual glasses if you have one or two extra people popping in.
