Join us at REI Pittsburgh for the PA Conservation Heritage documentary film screening with a panel discussion to follow with partners from the PA Parks & Forest Foundation. Pennsylvania is one of only a few states to recognize environmental quality as a basic civil right. The Environmental Rights Amendment was added to the state constitution in 1971. For decades, this right was ignored. That is starting to change. In recent years, state Supreme Court decisions are giving it renewed life. This documentary looks at our conservation past, present, and future, ensuring the health and longevity of our public lands for years to come. This film is presented as a part of a statewide Earth Day initiative, celebrating the 50th anniversary of this important holiday.
