April marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, the world’s largest movement to protect the environment. Celebrate the day at the National Aviary. Meet with Pittsburgh organizations who can help you take action locally that will have a global impact! Build a pollinator for birds, bats, and bees, and plant a sunflower seed to bring birds to your own backyard habitat. Join Ornithologist Bob Mulvihill for a bird watching walk with a purpose: as you spot birds in the trees in Allegheny Commons Park, pick up litter to keep the park clean with supplies from Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy. Enjoy special story times and a film as part of the Pittsburgh Eco Short Film Showcase! All included with admission.
