Pittsburgh Earth Day 2016 announces the Ecolution Fashion Show taking place on April 21st, 2016 in the Main Ballroom of the Fairmont Pittsburgh from 7PM-10PM. As part of the second annual Pittsburgh Earth Day celebration, Ecolution kicks off this weekend-long celebration with a presentation of high-end, eco-friendly couture on one of Pittsburgh’s most unique runways.
In addition to the fashion show, guests are invited to enjoy music by DJ Soy Sos, dance performances by STAYCEE PEARL dance project, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres. VIP attendees will enjoy a cocktail hour from 6PM-7PM featuring a complimentary cocktail from Southern Wine and Spirits and a special DJ performance by Steve Hackman from Stereo Hideout. VIP guests will receive a complimentary membership to the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and runway seats for the fashion show.
Curated by Richard Parsakian, sixteen designers are challenged to integrate sustainable, recyclable, and organic materials into environmentally-savvy ensembles that represent each of the four elements as well as renewable energy resources: earth, wind, fire, and water.
Designers have the chance to win one of four award stipends provided by Larrimors. The most creative eco-fashions and winners will be determined by a panel of four judges: Karin Legato, Co-founder of Emphatics avant-garde clothing store, Demeatria Boccella, Founder of Fashion Africana, Michael Olijnyk, Co-Director of the Mattress Factory Museum, and Natalie Bencivenga, Post-Gazette Seen Column Editor. Hair and makeup by Izzazu Salon, Spa and Serata will also be featured.

General admission tickets can be purchased for $20.00, and VIP tickets for $60.00.
